La Santa Sede informo este 7 de agosto que el Papa Francisco acepto la renuncia del Obispo de Huamachuco, Mons. Sebastian Ramis Torrens, que el pasado 10 de junio cumplio 75 anos de edad.

LIMA (ACI Prensa) - "El Santo Padre Francisco ha aceptado la renuncia al gobierno pastoral de la Prelatura Territorial de Huamachuco (Peru), presentada por Mons. Sebastian Ramis Torrens", informo el Vaticano.
Mons. Ramis Torrens nacio el 10 de junio de 1943 en la localidad de LLubi, en las islas Baleares (Espana). Fue ordenado sacerdote el 29 de junio de 1969 en LLubi y nombrado Administrador Apostolico el 13 de septiembre de 1981.
Nombrado obispo por San Juan Pablo II el 13 de noviembre de 1990, fue consagrado obispo el 13 de enero de 1991 por el Nuncio Apostolico, Mons. Luiggi Dossena, en Huamachuco.
