Artists from around the world participated in an anti-ISIS cartoon and caricature competition held in Iran. The images, showing shocking depictions of ISIS atrocities, went on display at cultural centers in Tehran, Iran's capital.

LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - More than 1,000 images, from artists in more than 40 different countries, were entered in Iran's House of Cartoon competition.
Two-hundred and seventy images were chosen for the display.
"In order to reveal the true nature of ISIL we decided to hold this contest and have people submit their cartoons or caricatures," explained Graphic artist and head of the House of Cartoon, Massoud Shojaei Tabatabali, to Press TV. "ISIL tries to associate itself with Islam, but in essence has no idea about Islam."
Tabatabali noted the House of Cartoon now has plans to show the exhibition in more countries like Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, all known ISIS-controlled areas.
Launched in February, the various images show everything from beheadings and suicide bombings to ISIS recruiting and destruction of ancient artifacts.
According to the Daily Mail, the artwork will be judged by experts and the winners will be announced on May 31.
